Why Am I So Happy?

Because I just saved myself $140! How did I do that? Well, first I used some patience. Then I watched the sale ads. And then….I struck! I got all the Built by Wendy Simplicity patterns for $.99/each. Hancock Fabrics is having a one day only Friday the 13th sale on all Simplicity patterns, so I scooped them up as fast as I could!

While I don’t have any intention of actually making anything right now, I have the patterns and can start whenever I want. I actually bought both sizes of the pants just in case. How bad would it be to start measuring myself just to realize that I needed the other package? I would be devastated if I were ready to be sewing!!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments and suggestions on Wicked. I still don’t know which sleeve length I am going to go with, but I have some time to think about it. A couple people asked about the yarn and it is Elann’s Highland Peruvian Wool in color #744–inexpensive sturdy wool.

You are such a lucky duck. A couple weeks ago they had the 99 cent sale on their website. Just as I was finishing up picking the patterns that I wanted the site went down for maintenance. I took that as a sign that I wasn’t meant to spend twenty-some odd dollars on sewing patterns. hehehe At the time, I was soooo pissed. lol

I didn’t know about the Built by Wendy patterns – they look great!! As an added plus, I like that they are sized like RTW clothes.
