in Loopy Mango Alpaca blanket

I told you that I had a productive weekend finishing projects. Let me introduce the Loopy Mango Blanket. When I was in NY, I bought this yarn at Loopy Mango. I chose the brown alpaca because it was Yoda color. This way, I can leave it on the couch and not see the pug hairs that might cling to it.

It’s an amazingly quick kit once you get used to the size 50 needles. I went from size 5 to 50 in one day. Needless to say, my hands needed to get used to it. I felt like I was fumbling around with them for about 5 or so rows before it started to be normal. The pattern itself is nothing too complicated – CO 18 stitches. Knit each row until you run out of yarn. Pretty snazzy, no?
