New Beginnings

in Rusted Root, Zephyr Style

Rustedroot3
Well, folks, I started the new job this week. I have to say that it’s been more eventful than I can imagine…I’ve started taking the train, working high in the sky with a great view (yes, I have windows!), meeting new people, learning new things, and going to see an Oprah taping. Yeah, I got to be in Millennium Park today watching the taping of the Oprah Olympic Heroes episode. My boss handed me a wrist band on Tuesday and said, "All the new hires are going. Just show up." Um, ok.

So, it’s airing on Monday, September 8 if you are interested in trying to see me. You may…I was in an area where the athletes walked by us. Not too shabby for the second day of work…

And my prediction was right…more time on the train = more knitting! Are you so excited? Here is the Rusted Root 2…I think I am chugging along pretty well. As you can see, I’ve already separated the body from the sleeves. Since the sleeves will have minimal finishing, I’m thinking that I *might* be done with this by the end of the week. Just a couple more good hours and I’ll have a new sweater.

So, that brings me to what the next project should be….I’m thinking the Cable-Down Raglan is going to be the winner. I want to get going on some fall/winter stuff so I have nice new things! The best part about starting this new job is that they have yet to see all my sweaters/clothes, so it’s almost like I got a new wardrobe! They have no idea what I’ve worn a million times…

Rusted Root looks really good – that is great that you’re having so much time to devote to knitting every day now. Sounds like the new job is going well too. I definitely vote for CDR as your next project!
