I cheated a bit…

in Amy Butler, Fitted Knits - Airy Wrap-Around Lace Sweater, sewing, Yarn, Yoda

Pinkyarn So, I did it. I caved. I said I was only going to work on things that are on my side bar, well, in addition to my paper for my Germany class. But I went to this sewing/yarn store near work to pick up some things for the Amy Butler Cabo Halter, and I decided I was going to buy yarn for swatching.

I have been eyeballing the Airy Wrap-Around Lace Sweater from Fitted Knits to wear over a dress for a wedding, so in my moment of weakness I picked up some yarn for it. You see here Crystal Palace Aran and Kid Merino with a size 11 Denise Circular. I only have done a couple rows of the swatch and I can already tell I will need to go up a size in the needles…hey, at least I didn’t just buy all the yarn! Hidingyoda

So, Yoda and I are marveling in our famousness over here…today we became the  featured blog on Typepad…She was so excited that she decided to try and hide!

Yes, my little princess decided that she didn’t want to see the paparazzi…she really does like the simple life. But then I convinced her that it’s not so bad..she can get free stuff when she hosts award shows, she can get into any restaurant…so she dolled up and went to see her public…and now she is napping!!!

The lil diva looks too cute on her pillow. I can see why the paparazzi can’t stop following her around. hehe

Congrats to Yoda for her 15 minutes of fame!
I too have a pug…IS there a better dog??? oh, I do have another, non-pug variety, but the pug…oh my, just the best!!

Many congratulations: any blog that features a cute dog and…well, anything else…is my kind of blog.

Great blog! Yoda….soooooo cute. I loved the Unhappy Yoda photo and the one where she is in your arms with her tongue sticking out. I’m a knitter, too, but don’t really feature that side of me on my blog….at least not yet. However, if you want to see some photos of a really adorable CKCS (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) named Jemimah, check out my photo gallery at http://www.peacefulspirit.typepad.com. Feel free to comment as well.
My current knitting project is for a friend of mine who just celebrated her 50th birthday! I’m making her a Lily Chin-designed shawl in GGH Kidsoft, color – raspberry. 2 more balls and it will finally be hers!
Happy knitting!
