I am toe-up!

Toeup Ok, I know that is a bad play on words. But I am so tired. Since I have very little time to work on knitting projects, I decided that I needed to work on some socks. I have never done toe-up socks, so I gave it a try. I am using Wendy’s pattern. So far it is going very well. I think I am going to like not having to do Kitchner. Not that’s it hard, but it can look bad if done crapily. Yes, that is a word.

So, I think I like this short row toe thing. I am probably the last person on Earth the try the toe-up socks, but just in case I am not, I totally recommend trying them out. Not only does Wendy have her directions on her site, she wrote a Knitty article about them.

Has anyone else been obsessed with Crafting/Knitting Podcasts? I have to make sure that my iPod is updated every night. Some of the podcasts I am listening to are:

I know there are more out there, but I can only listen to so many in a day!

Updated: I can totally relate to Monica. I broke one of my Crystal Palace size 0 circs shown above. I don’t have any other size 0 circs at this point….Guess I am going to have to dig out the dps!

I listen to all those podcasts too – I also like Pixie Purls (podcast.pixiepurls.com?).
And no, you’re not the last person to try those toe-up socks – I’ve never tried socks at all yet!

My first socks were toe-up! But cuff bind-off were too tight so now I am using to down, but with short row heels! Works best for me!

I took everyone’s advice and contacted Brittany about getting replacements. They emailed pretty quickly and said they’d send me some.
