in Baby Blanket, Baby Gifts

KatieBlanketComplete The Green Grass Baby Blanket is now complete! I washed it, dried it, and kept it away from Yoda! She was eyeballing it, so I think she wanted to lie on it and chew her chewie or just snuggle with it. Since this is going to a baby, I’m not sure it’s a good idea if there is Yoda hair all over it!

Pattern: Ann Norling #68 Pamphlet – Blanket
Yarn: Borocco Comfort DK – 2740
Needles: Denise Interchangeable size 5
Notes: The pattern called for 4 total rows of squares, and I thought that was too small so I did 5 rows.

I feel like I am really flying on all my knitting now. At this time, I am going to go back and do sleeve #2 of the Green Corona and get that sweater done. Then I’ll be hitting the Ribby Pulli pretty hard. I’m going to wait on the shawl I mentioned the other day just because the bride hasn’t chosen colors yet. I think I could crank that out pretty quickly once a color is chosen. And I want a new sweater for myself… you all know I’m pretty selfish when it comes to that stuff.

I have this hank of Baby Alpaca (550 yards) that is not enough for a sweater and too much to make something small. I’ve been thinking I should make my own winter set – hat, scarf, mittens. Or whatever I happen to be able to squeeze out of that hank. I really like the Irish Trekking Hats I made a few years ago for some friends. I never did get around to making one for myself.
