in Comfort Fade Cardi, Yolks Pullover

I’m a little slow to the party on this one, but I finally made a Comfort Fade Cardi. I went with Madelinetosh DK in Esoteric, Hosta Blue, and Abiquiu (in order from top to bottom). The sweater itself grew quite a bit after washing/blocking, but I think that’s ok. It’s a comfy snuggly sweater that I can see myself wearing on a cold fall or winter’s day cuddling on the couch and binge watching Netflix.

Since this sweater is reverse stockinette, I knit most of it inside out. It’s just easier to knit than purl the whole time! This was a super easy knit, and the only advanced technique was the short rows in the collar. But I’ll be honest, those aren’t even that hard, so it’s an interesting easy knit. If you are on the fence, I’d say go ahead and do it!

I’m thinking about using the “fade” technique on a pullover next. I know Andrea Mowry has a pullover pattern, but I don’t think I would need it. However, I am lazy….so it would all be there and I wouldn’t need to think. So tempting.

The next project is more summer weather appropriate. I cast on for the Yolks Pullover in Cloudborn Cotton Pima Dk. I’m not usually a cotton gal, but this yarn is not too hard on the hands.
