Cast On Bind Off

I just received my new copy of Cast On Bind Off. I seriously was considering taking a class on different bind offs/cast ons, but then saw that this book was coming out and I decided that it’s cheaper than a class!

This is not the type of book I’ll sit and read. However, based on the flipping I’ve done so far I’m a happy camper! The covers have the cast ons (front cover) and bind offs (back cover) listed with page number and types of applications. I think that’s particularly handy. Then I can just open up and see what might work better than my standard cable cast on.

Each type of cast on or bind off is shown how it looks when used. The directions look clear with pictures for each step. I know that pictures aren’t always the best way to go, but I figure I can always check and see if there is a video available if I’m just not getting it. But remember, folks, I taught myself to knit from a book!

This is the perfect size to throw in a knitting back and take along, it’s spiral bound, and pretty lightweight. I think it’s a keeper.
