A Weekend of FOs

in Yarn Girls Cardigan, Yoda

Black_cardi I was busy this weekend. Since my team at school already finished our paper, I really didn’t have any other homework to do. So, I decided to knit. And knit I did. I finished the Yarn Girls Cardi. Well, minus the buttons, but those are on order. Wanna see?

It fits perfectly. It really does. When the buttons are on, it will be well worn. Who can’t use a black cardi?

So, what else did I work on this weekend? A hat. Not that it is going to get cold ever here in Chicagoland, but I want to be prepared. I found this pattern and decided to give it a go. Pretty in blue, huh? PLease excuse the fisherman look I am going for here. At least I don’t look like a thug…

So, you want to see a close up of the cables? Ok,  here you go.

After I got my knitting fill, I tortured Yoda. Doesn’t she look cute in her costume that fits her..um, I mean fits around her big chest and neck…

She’s fire breathing, you know.

Love the sweater. I’m turning green with envy. The hat looks great too. I don’t have a hat head. It’s too dang big. I can’t even wear baseball caps cause most are too tight. hehe Yoda looks adorable as always.

Oh my goodness. There are no words!
p.s. Glad you showed the close up, those cables are gorgeous with the tweedy yarn.

The Cardi is a winner! I’ve knit several sweaters from Yarn Girls and they have all turned out well.
I looked through your FO gallery and saw you had done Klaralund. Did the Silk Garden felt a little after you washed it? And is it soft?
Yoda looks a bit indignant in her costume. Perhaps she would prefer it in black? 🙂

the things we do to our pets…and they love us anyway! awesome knitting. and how is it that chicagoland isn’t cold? snowing here today in Denver.

All Yoda needs for the back spine thingies, is to have lights knitted into them and a small battery pack. That way when she’s out at night you can see where she’s at. I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING, WHAT A GAL!
Maybe some orange shades.
