A Little Sewing

in Embroidery, sewing

As you all know, I do some sewing from time to time. Well, I decided to invest in a new (to me) machine. I looked around and found a Viking Designer SE LE for a little more than the price of a new standard Viking machine. So what does this kind of expensive new machine get me? Um, an embroidery unit!

Yeah, yeah, I know – I have no idea what the hell I’m doing with an embroidery machine. Well, folks, I’m learning. I took a workshop, bought a book, used the Internet…and it’s coming along. At the workshop I went to, I was learning about Anita Goodesigns and how they work. From what I gathered, each set has instructions that tell you what to do/what you need for supplies. I looked at each package as a mini tutorial that I have something fun at the end.

One of those packages was to make these organization boxes. Anyone who knows me knows I’m an organization freak! They were right up my alley. I decided to make a medium size box with the label “whatever”. As you can see, the dogs took this one over immediately. This is sitting on a set of built in shelves (thus, the wire going right through the picture). It holds poop bags and treats like a champ and looks pretty!

More to come on this sewing stuff…
