A little inspiration in shopping…

in Yarn

Loopy The new boy lives extremely close (so close, it's practically across the street) to Loopy Yarns in the South Loop. I had popped in there a couple times when I realized it, but always made sure I left before I bought something. I have tons of yarn that I've moved with me to the city, so wy would I need more?!

I know! I forgot the first rule of Knitting Club – you can never have enough yarn!

The other day when I was working on the brown beast, I decided I finally needed to get a Kacha counter. (Yes, I did not have a counter for, well, ever) So, I decided that instead of watching the marathon that was being run outside my balcony, I would jump on the El and go visit the yarn store by the boy's house. I entered the wonderful world of yarn! And when I heard "Sale yarn is in the basement", I practically threw   myself over the railing! I picked up 9 balls of this beigey, thick stuff for $3.50 a ball (that's 50% off folks!). The yarn stats for those keeping track: Feza Opera, color 103 (Sunscreen lotion), bulky weight, 110 yds/ball.

I, of course, got the counter, an Interweave Weekend Edition, and Eucalan. It's kind of like going to the grocery store for one thing and leaving with a cart full of groceries. Though, I have to say, I did get really excited about knitting when I was walking home with that ginormous bag of (cheap!) yarn. I'm thinking about using it for a quick projet now to help me forget about the sleeve from Hell and get back on track.

I see you picked Eucalan with grapefruit essential oil…it’s my favourite! Thanks for mentioning our product in your post!

I didn’t know about the grapefruit scented Eucalan – I will have to check that out! It’s been a while since I’ve been to Loopy too.
