There has been knitting…

Really? I thought this was a knitting blog! So I do have some knitting related pictures and updates.

First, if you have noticed on my side-bar, I have signed up for Sockapal-2-za. It looked like a fun quick semi-quick thing with which to get involved. And just in time for knitting socks, I found this new SOCK yarn store. Hmm, could be dangerous.

Speaking of danergous–I want to thank Monica. She mentioned that Handworks Gallery was having a sale on Rowan yarns–20% on the regular Rowan and kits and 30% on the new Classic line and kits. What did I do? I have been watching Theresa knit it and I really like the colors and style.

Current Projects

Img_0140 Yes, I have been keeping up with my current projects. The front of the Vogue Tennis Sweater is coming along pretty well. I am getting close to the neck shaping and then it should be pretty easy to finish it up. I need to plan my vacation on Sleeve Island…Mmm, Margaritas!

Img_0141_1 Sitcom Chic is also moving along quite well. I don’t have ‘commuter time’ to knit during, so I have to settle for a couple rows at lunch time. I feel like a stockinette avenger!

While I was doing some shopping for Yoda’s bed, I got sucked into the knitting aisle of Jo-Ann Fabrics. I needed some size 1 and 0 needles for socks (see above). While I prefer to use two circulars, I decided to try the Susan

Bates Sock Set. I figure that since the stitches are so small, they may not look so bad. Now I just need to wind the Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn I bought a couple months back…

But that’s not all kids! I visited a new to me yarn store–Knitche in Downers Grove. Since I live so far away, I was able to check it out on my day off. It is a very nice store that I would like to visit again sometime. So, what did I buy? A pair of Lantern Moon size 0 circulars. Too bad I really needed size 1. Guess I’ll just need to go back!

Have a good weekend everyone!!

I’m sorry I am such a horrible enabler. But I’m glad you pointed me to the sock yarn site! Let me know how the RYC line is. I’m itching to try it.
