From the Top

Isn't it amazing what a week off of work will do for a person? Couch therapy is a wonderful thing. Couch therapy with knitting is even better. What is a girl to work on with that much time? How about a new technique?

I have jumped in with both feet to knitting sweaters from the top down. I finished one using this pattern--Tweedy Red Mock Neck. I also started a crew neck alpaca sweater using a pattern by Knitting Pure and Simple. Then there is the Essential Stripe v-neck. I'm pining away for this book--hint hint, Mom! Then I can create my own top down wonders.

I'm not sure how I feel about this technique, yet. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I am a project girl...does this technique help me get a sweater done faster? Not sure. But sleeves don't seem to be as much of a problem....They are already half done by the time you have to knit them!
